  1. Reliable management of finances.
  2. Equip the CEO to make well-informed decisions based on the current financial reality, future modeling, and risks.
  3. Timely flow of AR & AP that supports the growth of our organization.

You’re responsible for the primary finance operations of our organization. You’re a vital role in driving us towards the successful achievement of our mission and vision while embodying our values to their fullest. You take the stewardship of our finances seriously, with conviction, wisdom, and integrity.

You’ll work closely with our leadership team on Copious’ financial health and growth. You keep accounting and finances organized, accurate, running smoothly, and in legal compliance.

Finally, our belief that every touchpoint matters should resonate and so should the themes in these books: Be Our Guest: Perfecting the Art of Customer Service (The Disney Institute), The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace (Gary D. Chapman), and Start with Why (Simon Sinek).

What you'll do:

  • Management and modeling of financial outcomes requested by leadership to support executive decision making.
  • AR & AP received and processed.
  • Cash flow management is accurate and fulfills on our mission, vision, values.
  • Work with leadership to plan and manage annual operating and department budgets.
  • Weekly reporting on financial outlook.
  • Process payroll in a timely manner.
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are completed.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting system.
  • Comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Support compensation plan management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Available to work primarily in-person at our office in Portland, OR
  • Experience with full charge bookkeeping.
  • Capable of complete periodic financial closing and reporting lifecycle.
  • Background checks, credit checks, and professional references may be required as part of the interview process.
